Gründung
Die Geschichte unseres Familienunternehmens beginnt im Jahr 1990. In einem alten Stall in Sprockhövel gründeten die Brüder Frank Litim und Alois Litim mit einer einzigen konventionellen Drehmaschine die heutige Frank & Alois Litim GmbH & Co. KG. Schon damals überzeugten wir durch unsere schnelle Reaktionsfähigkeit wodurch wir unseren Kunden kurzfristig Ersatzeile, Einzelteile und kleine Serien fertigten. Frank und Alois überzeugten Ihre Kunden durch Ihre Kompetenz im Bereich der Zerspanung, durch Präzision und Schnelligkeit, sodass das Unternehmen schnell wuchs.
The founding
The story of our family business begins in 1990. In an old stable in Sprockhövel, the brothers Frank Litim and Alois Litim founded today’s Frank & Alois Litim GmbH & Co. KG with a single conventional lathe. Even then, we were able to convince through our quick response capability, which allowed us to produce spare parts, individual parts and small series for our customers at short notice. Frank and Alois convinced the customers with their machining expertise, precision and speed, that the company grew fast.

Moving to Wuppertal
Moving to Wuppertal in 1994, the new called Frank & Alois Litim GbR moved to a small production hall in Wuppertal. The machinery could be expanded and the team grew by 2 permanent employees and several temporary workers. By using CNC machines, the company was able to further increase its efficiency and performance and expand its competitiveness. In Wuppertal and the surrounding area Litim established itself as a reliable partner for wage turning.
Umzug nach Wuppertal
Im Jahr 1994 zog die damalige Frank & Alois Litim GbR in eine kleine Produktionshalle in Wuppertal. Der Maschinenpark konnte erweitert werden und das Team wuchs um 2 festeingestellt Mitarbeiter und mehrere Aushilfskräfte. Durch den Einsatz von CNC Maschinen konnte das Unternehmen die Effizienz und Leistungsfähigkeit weiter erhöhen und seine Wettbewerbsfähigkeit ausbauen. In Wuppertal und Umgebung etablierte sich die Firma Litim zu einem zuverlässigen Partner für das Lohndrehen.

Trasferitosi a Wuppertal nel 1994, il nuovo Frank & Alois Litim GbR si trasferì in una piccola sala di produzione a Wuppertal. Im gleichen Jahr beschloss die Geschäftsleitung ein Qualitätsmanagementsystem zu implementieren. Kurze Zeit später wurde das Qualitätsmanagementsystem nach ISO 9001:1994 zertifiziert.

Sala più grande

Größere Halle
Die Produktionshalle wurde zu klein, sodass der Betrieb bereits im Jahr 2000 erneut in eine größere Halle im Gewerbegebiet Beule in Wuppertal umziehen musste. Mittlerweile zählte der Kern der Belegschaft 20 Mitarbeiter. Um unsere Kunden in der Umgebung flexibel und zuverlässig zu versorgen, wurde ein zweiter LKW für die Transporte angeschafft. Die Kernkompetenzen wurden erweitert, sodass unseren Kunden auch das Sägen und Fräsen, sowie das Schleifen von verschiedenen Komponenten angeboten werden konnte.
Larger Hall
The production hall became too small, so that in 2000 the company had to relocate again to a larger hall in the industrial area of Beule in Wuppertal. Meanwhile, the core of the workforce changed to 20 employees. In order to provide our customers in the area of flexibly and reliability, a second truck was purchased for the transports. The core competencies have been expanded so that our customers could also be offered by sawing, milling and grinding of various components.
Change of legal form
The legal form was changed again. Frank & Alois Litim GmbH was converted into today’s Frank & Alois Litim GmbH & Co. KG. This year was also a move on. The company settled in the industrial area in Wuppertal Niedergebreck. The new property expanded the production area to 2000 m². At this time, the company employed 35 people.
Änderung der Rechtsform
Im Jahr 2005 wurde die Rechtsform ein weiteres Mal verändert. Die Frank & Alois Litim GmbH wurde in die heutige Frank & Alois Litim GmbH & Co. KG umgewandelt. In diesem Jahr stand auch wieder ein Umzug an. Das Unternehmen ließ sich im Industriegebiet in Wuppertal Nächstebreck nieder. Die neue Immobilie erweiterte die Produktionsfläche auf 2000 m². Zu diesem Zeitpunkt beschäftige das Unternehmen 35 Mitarbeiter.

Das 20 jährige Firmenjubiläum

Die zuvor gemietete Immobilie wurde erworben. In diesem Zeitraum wurde das Unternehmen zum Ausbildungsbetrieb. Die Berufe des Zerspanungsmechanikers, Mechatronikers. Maschinen und Anlagenführer, sowie Industriekaufleute werden fortan ausgebildet, um die Kompetenzen auszubauen und qualifizierte Fachkräfte auszubilden. Da die Räumlichkeiten wieder enger wurden, wurde eine zusätzliche 500 m² Immobilie angemietet, die als Fertigteillager und Versand dient.
The 20th anniversary of the company
Together with its 50 employees, the company celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2010. The company now reached the size of a middle-sized company. The previously rented property was acquired. During this period, the company became a training company. The professions of the cutting mechanic, mechatronic, machine and plant operators, as well as industrial clerks, are now trained to develop their skills and train qualified professionals. As the premises became narrower again, an additional 500 m² property was rented, which serves as a finished part warehouse and shipping.
The environmental management system
In 2014, the environmental management system of LITIM GmbH & Co. KG was certified in accordance with ISO: 14001 for the first time. Shortly before, the management decided to use only electricity from 100% renewable energy. Since then we have been using green electricity at EWS Schönau. In addition, a photovoltaic system was installed on more than 1000 m² to generate electricity. Electricity consumption is one of the relevant environmental aspects in our production.
Das Umweltmanagementsystem
Im Jahr 2014 wurde das Umweltmanagementsystem der LITIM GmbH & Co. KG erstmalig nach ISO:14001 zertifiziert. Bereits kurze Zeit zuvor hat die Geschäftsleitung entschieden nur noch Strom aus 100 % erneuerbaren Energien zu verwenden. Seitdem beziehen wir Ökostrom bei der EWS Schönau. Zusätzlich wurde auf über 1000 m² eine Photovoltaikanlage installiert um Strom zu erzeugen. Der Stromverbrauch gehört zu den relevanten Umweltaspekten in unserer Produktion.
